Think of every word starting with 'r' that you can. Put them all in a hat, then take out all the words that dont have the letters r,a,n,d,o & m in that particular order with no extras before or after.
What happened to the Sheets?

When we watch TV shows and movies, portraying images of the future world, quite often we see a fellow/fellowess in a big trench coat with shady eyes that has mystical brain powers; telepathy and telekinesis are usually the big hitters. At this point in time, this seems like a load of rubbish, nearly as implausible as the script attached to futureman’s role. However, deep *induced* philosophical sessions with people, beer bottles and various flora and fauna have lead me to believe that futureman is a very plausible aspect, and pretty much every guy (not to sure about the ladies, let me know) go through a state of intense mental strength at a certain point in adolescence. Now this is where the topic goes a bit nasty.

Every guy out there has had a wet dream (no-one wants to admit it). Now my point is plain and simple, try and do that when you are awake, just make yourself pop a bit of love juice. It’s pretty dam hard!!!
In our dreams, we are able to picture something that is so real, that our brain can fool the senses to be under the impression that we are doing the deed with the woman, man or object and will end in the result of the messy sheets.

Now, the key factor that allows us to be in such control in a dream is a lack of doubt. In dreams, we are in full control and no-one else is there to tell us otherwise. We are brought up in an environment of negativity which greatly decreases our ability to harness the power of our mental capability. I believe that if an individual is so in control and focused, that such feats as telepathy and telekinesis are not beyond the realms of possibility.

Your senses are very vulnerable. I hate to introduce the nerd factor, but this theory is touched on in the Matrix, your senses can be fooled by providing your brain with different signals. If you focus hard enough you should be able to see what you want to see, taste what you want to taste etc… The point is that despite our fast cars, big buildings and popcorn chicken, we are but glorified monkeys. Hardly in control of the mechanical marvel that is our body, in particular, the brain

Futureman is an individual that when asked by his mum, “what happened to the sheets?” was he himself puzzled and in search of the answer behind the answer.

While I'm unsure of the limits and endless possibilities of our mind/brain, I'm absolutely positive that it's the strongest organ in our bodies and has it has untapped power or areas that we rarely use. Whether these are pysical, psychological or spiritual areas of power and ability, I dont know. But going on what I have seen and heard of some people doing when they've focussed 110% on what they wanted, then acheived it, truly amazes me to think of the possibilities.

Psychic ability, kinetics, amazing physical strength, endurance, even the ability to physically or mentally heal one's self and heaps more... strange stuff I can't explain but I seem to have witnessed it.

One thing that comes to mind for me was when I wanted to quit smoking. I'd been puffing on (cig) butts and bongs every day for about 5 or 6 years and hated the fact that I was addicted to the stuff. After thinking for weeks how I was going to quit, I just decided to go cold turkey one day. It worked and I haven't looked back since. No patches, pills, chewing gum or anything. Just mind power.

The key factor that allows us to be in such control in a dream is a lack of doubt. In dreams, we are in full control and no-one else is there to tell us otherwise. We are brought up in an environment of negativity which greatly decreases our ability to harness the power of our mental capability.I love this! The whole negativity thing, generally holds us back in lots of other ways. People are scared to be themselves, because of how it will be seen by others. Those people who are truley true to themselves will go the furtherest!

Too true Cass and Sally!

And don't get me started on the dreams...

TheCassMan,

So.....if you think you can do it....release all thoughts of doubt...re educate your brain on knowledge of the factual.......your brain can bypass all physical obstacles....because you BELIEVE it to be an actuality... therefore it is....?
But how can you process the new information when the old information......eg.."If I jump of this building I will drop to the ground and splat over the pavement below"...is still in your memory?

That is part of the problem, knowing a potential circumstance of your actions is doubt, therefore you are not 100% convinced you can do something. That is why it’s so hard, that is why we are monkeys

Think about cases where you hear of people performing extraordinary feats at times of great duress, like amazing survival or rescue situations. Maybe these are small cases of people achieving a higher level. When the mind is overwhelmed with emotion we perhaps eliminate doubt?

um, i followed this link in from muggy's blog. hi cassman. nice to meet you. in regards to the statements above, as much as i'd like to believe that such a control is possible, it actually isn't.

the reason for 'wet dreams' is that during REM sleep there is intense activity in areas of the brain that control the autonomic nervous system. heartbeat and breathing, for example, can be quite irregular during REM sleep.

in the course of the autonomic activity of REM sleep, there is normally an activation of the erectile system of the penis. in some cases the self-stimulatory activity of REM sleep may also lead to the experience of an orgasm and an activation of the ejaculatory system in males.

so, whilst it is a nice idea, it is not phyically possible have a 'wet dream' whist awake, being that they're triggered by the actvation of the erectile system during REM sleep and nothing else.

i am such a boring old cow. i expect muggaz already told you that .

sorry !
